Pisgah Triangle

This is a 50-mile scenic drive that cuts across the Blue Ridge Parkway and down through the Pisgah Ranger District.

The full drive takes between 2 and 3 hours, depending on how many stops you make along the way.

Route: Take the Blue Ridge Parkway for 50 miles.
This loop starts in Waynesville, following US 276 South from downtown to reach the top point of the Pisgah Triangle.

• Follow signs for US-276 South from Waynesville.
• Continue straight until the on-ramp to the Blue Ridge Parkway at Wagon Road Gap, then make a left to follow the on-ramp to the Parkway.
• Turn left at stop sign onto the Blue Ridge Parkway, heading south.
• Continue for about 11 miles to the junction of NC-215 at Beech Gap. Exit the Blue Ridge Parkway by making a right toward NC-215.
• Turn left at stop sign onto NC-215 North (towards Canton). NC 215 becomes Lake Logan Rd.
• Loop 1 ends in Canton’s Bethel community. To return to Waynesville, make a left onto US-276 from Lake Logan Road, and continue straight for 6.3 miles.
