  • Elk Bucks are digital gift cards only redeemable at participating small businesses within Haywood County––every buck stays local! They're backed by Master Card and facilitated by our partner company, Yiftee, so they function just like any other credit card.

  • Elk Bucks can be redeemed at participating businesses across Haywood County. Browse the directory above to see where they're accepted, or download a PDF list.

  • There are two ways you can redeem Elk Bucks: load the card into your mobile device's digital wallet and use tap-to-pay, or have the merchant manually key in your card information at checkout. All participating businesses have verified that they accept one or both of these payment methods.

  • Expiration dates vary depending on when your Elk Bucks were issued or whether they were part of a special promotion. Check the terms provided with your card for the applicable expiry date.

  • No. Elk Bucks have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to another person.

2025 BOGO Elk Bucks promotion
  • Bonus Elk Bucks issued as part of the 2025 Gift of Haywood/BOGO campaign expire one year after the purchase date. For the 2025 campaign, the expiry date will fall between October 8th and 13th, 2026.

  • Individual visitors may redeem the promotion once per calendar month during the campaign.
