Perched on a mountaintop in the Smokies, Cataloochee Ranch is a Relais & Châteaux resort that mixes classic ranch fun with exceptional accommodations and cuisine.
Spread across hundreds of acres along the southeastern border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the historic property’s breathtaking elevation, open balds, and mountain range views are complemented by classic comforts, humble hospitality, and hands-on, expert-led activities. Immerse yourself in the mountains with scenic horseback rides, guided hikes, and a treetop adventure course, or try your hand at traditional ranch crafts in the Barn Studio.
Featuring eleven rustic cabins to accommodate parties of up to 8 guests, with expansion to the Silverbell Lodge and an on-site spa still to come.
Venue seating is available to accommodate parties of less than 100.
Both lodging and non-lodging guests are invited to reserve a table at Cataloochee Ranch's world-class restaurant, Switchback.
Due to continued construction on the property, the Ranch is currently open for lodging from Thursday to Monday. The community is also invited to visit the Ranch for an adventure on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

With 49 years of performing experience, the band is known for its authentic sound, strong musicianship, and dedication to preserving the traditions of bluegrass music while entertaining audiences of all ages. Over the years, Hill Country Band has performed at many of the region’s most beloved festivals and community events, including Shindig on the Green in Asheville, Pickin’ in the Park in Canton, the North Carolina State Fair, the Smoky Mountain Folk Festival, and Folkmoot USA. Their performances continue to delight audiences across Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee with a blend of traditional bluegrass favorites, timeless classics, and crowd-pleasing harmonies.
