Caldwell Fork Trail

Explore the scenic beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park by hiking the Caldwell Fork Trail. This picturesque trail offers a diverse range of experiences, from wildflower-filled meadows to enchanting forests. Witness the vibrant display of wildflowers, including Cut-Leaved Toothwort and Thyme-Leaved Bluets, as they bloom along the trail from early April onwards. The trailhead is conveniently located approximately two miles beyond the park boundary, accessible via Cove Creek Road and Cataloochee Road.

Note: Be prepared for wet and muddy sections, particularly a few days after rain or heavy horse usage.
