Two coups sitting atop a floral bedspread. In the background on the right, they lounge casually and the man grips the woman's hand, laughing. In the foreground on the left, the other couple sits more seriously, the woman with her hand on the man's shoulder as they gaze solemnly into the camera. All are dressed in flashy 1920s garb.

The Wild Party - Theatrical Production

Oct 16 → 25

250 Pigeon Street, Waynesville, North Carolina 28786

Become part of a jazz-drenched 1920's party in HART Theatre’s immersive production of Andrew Lippa’s Wild Party!

Set over the course of one explosive night, The Wild Party follows Queenie and Burrs, two vaudeville performers caught in a volatile relationship. Queenie decides to throw a party in their apartment, filling the room with an extraordinary collection of performers, dreamers, lovers, and strangers, each arriving in search of something: love, attention, escape, excitement, or simply the chance to feel alive.

When the mysterious Black arrives and catches Queenie’s attention, jealousy takes hold and the balance between her and Burrs begins to shift. As the party grows wilder, masks begin to slip and an evening built on excess and escape spirals toward danger and betrayal.

Beneath the jazz, laughter, and decadence is a darker story about desire, control, and the truths waiting when the music finally stops.
