Friday

- Wherever you’re staying inevitably has a balcony, rocking chair, or scenic bench. Enjoy a little mindful alone time or relax with a loved one as a start to your exciting weekend.
- Dine out at one of Waynesville’s many popular culinary establishments. If you feel like keeping it casual, visit Boojum Brewing Co. for beers and burgers or Watami for sushi and noodle bowls. If you prefer fine dining, Waynesville offers many options including Singletree Heritage Kitchen, Chef’s Table, Amici's Italian Restaurant, and Birchwood Hall Southern Kitchen.
Saturday
- Hoping for a delicious breakfast on Saturday? You’ve got options. Try out Hazelwood Farmacy & Soda Fountain located in the historic Hazelwood Village, or venture toward nearby Lake Junaluska to dine at The Buttered Biscuit. If a good cup of coffee will hit the spot, Panacea Coffee Co. in Frog Level, Smoky Mountain Coffee Roasters in Hazelwood, and Orchard Coffee right downtown are a few of Waynesville’s local offerings.
- After breakfast, head to an art gallery or take a pottery studio tour. While it maintains a small-town feel, Waynesville is rich with culture and boasts plenty of offerings for art connoisseurs. The Haywood County Arts Council and The Waynesville Gallery Association are two associations that can offer a guiding hand. The Haywood County Arts Council is located on Main Street. Any of their associates can put you in the know on the local arts scene.
- Next, you’ll want to spend some time shopping in all three districts: Main Street, Hazelwood Village, and Frog Level. Whether you’re looking for clothing, jewelry, books, décor, souvenirs, or something else, Waynesville will not disappoint.

- If you wake up craving a classic pastry, stop by one of the coffee shops or a bakery, such as Kandi’s Bakery at the end of Main Street, or Farm to Cake Bakery in Hazelwood.
- You can’t depart Waynesville without enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The Smoky Mountains are known for their many hiking trails. No matter your skill level as a hiker, there is a hike for you. Purchase a hiking guide at Blue Ridge Books, stop by the Visitor Center or swing by the Mast General Store for local insight and start navigating.
