5 Must-Do Activities to Enjoy in Canton This Fall

5 Must-Do Activities to Enjoy in Canton This Fall

Daydreaming of sweater weather, checkered flannels, and pumpkin-spiced coffee? Or maybe crisp woodland scents, ripe apples, and quality time with your loved ones? Then it’s time to start planning your fun-filled trip to Canton, NC this fall. We promise these five festivities will have you FALLing for our charming little mountain town in no time.

CHASE AUTUMN HUES UP DEVIL'S COURTHOUSE TRAIL

Kick-off the fall season with a rustle through the wondrous woods of the NC Smokies on Canton’s Devil’s Courthouse Trail. With a brisk 0.8 mile out-and-back trail leading to a peak elevation of 5,720 feet, hikers can enjoy a breathtaking cliff-top view overlooking mountains of sunset-painted autumn leaves.

SOAK UP YOUR FAVORITE FALL SCENTS

They say a scent can bring back a thousand memories. With an array of luxury cosmetic and hygienic products crafted from clean ingredients, Willow Hill Soap Company is the perfect solution to enchanting your home with fresh fall fragrances and warm memories. Whether it’s by taking one of their candle-making classes, a relaxing bath with their woodsman bath bomb, or pampering yourself with one of their many other self-care products, a trip over to this chic shop will be worth the drive.

SPICE IT UP THIS FALL

A fall excursion isn’t complete without a pumpkin spice… well, a pumpkin spice anything! - but most importantly, a freshly brewed cup of joe and sweet treat from Papertown Coffee, one of Canton’s tasty local cafés. Pair your pumpkin spice latte with a riveting page-turner you can cozy up with from a quaint little bookshop down the street, Blue Moon Books.

VISIT THE COLD MOUNTAIN CORN MAIZE

If you’re looking for some family-friendly fun for all ages, you’ll want to head on over to the Cold Mountain Corn Maize. There you’ll find a number of fall-tastic activities for the “little explorers” from pumpkin patches and themed corn mazes to campfires and hayrides.

EXPLORE LAKE LOGAN

Interested in harvesting some memories in the great outdoors? Maybe even “roughing it”? Whether you’re looking for a daytime activity or an overnight adventure, Lake Logan is the spot for resting, relaxing and rejuvenating with an autumn view. And with both camping and lodging options in addition to lake access, visitors can feel free to soak up all of the canoe-splashing, waterside-hammocking, marshmallow-roasting, memory-making fun that Canton’s Lake Logan has to offer.
